Speakeasy Interviews

By Online Content Editor

Chris Jam of TheOriginalSeed interviews spoken word artists Segun, Shirley Reed and Frysko.

Speakeasy have grown to become a symbol of unification for Sector artists. They have just celebrated their ten year anniversary, the artists started performing first at the international base for spoken word culture, Manchester’s green room.

Time has passed and people have moved on in their careers within the arts, but one item binds them all, spoken word culture.

Co founder of Speakeasy, Chris Jam interviews Segun , Shirley Reed and Frysko. Each artist provides an insight to their work and items that have added to their individual and group practise.

TheOriginalSeed’ is a new online space for spoken word culture. Through Leadership Team North Wests Sustained Theatre hub, TheOriginalSeed is set to be developed as a needed regional archive and resource for the Sector.
