Professor Gus John and Dr Samina Zahir

Gus John is Principal Consultant with the Gus John Partnership Limited. He is an Associate Professor in the London Centre for Leadership in Learning at the Institute of Education and an Honorary Fellow of the Institute. He was a founder member of the Caribbean Education and Community Workers Association (1969) and the Drum Arts Centre (1973). 

Samina Zahir is Director of Hybrid, a research and producing company. She has been working in the arts, media and community sector for over fifteen years. Her PhD examined syncretic cultural identities and methods of representation within cultural production. She has published work in a range of journals and books, both academic and arts sector led. She has also been both Chair and Secretary of the Black History Foundation.
