CHUCK MIKE is artistic director of Collective Artistes “an international black ensemble producing culturally diverse professional community theatre of social concern”.

He recently directed ‘The African Company presents Richard III’, a play by Carlyle Brown about an all-black production of Shakespeare's Richard III in New York during 1821, for a UK national tour

Born in Brooklyn, he has lived in Nigeria since 1976. He is a disciple of Wole Soyinka. Chuck Mike is a actor, producer, director and theatre activist. He is associate professor of theatre in the Department of Theatre & Dance. University of Richmond in Virginia, USA.

After a special matinee performance of ‘The African Company presents Richard III’ at the Oval House he spoke to Pervaiz Khan, Sustained Theatre's International Broker.

I am just so delighted that you are still doing a great job out there sustaining theatre and all its elements for development. I miss you for the great delights we had in the PEc Repertoire theatre
