The National Arts Festival (Grahamstown) is the second largest festival in the world. This year it featured nearly 400 hundred performances - theatre, dance, music, physical theatre and spoken word - from South Africa and abroad. (http://www.nationalartsfestival.co.za/ )
Thirty UK artists went to Grahamstown in June . This included a group of artists from the Sustained Theatre regional hubs, Talawa Youth Theatre and members of Arts & Islam initiative. Artists watched shows, gave performances, ran workshops, met with South African artists and organisations. This is a short video about the visit.
