Nigeria host a uniques connection with Manchester in lots of ways. A key demographic of the City and the North West region, people with a Nigerian heritage play an important role within the regional arts scene on differing levels.
Whats was interesting about spending the day with Lemi was the evolved conversation that took place about Lagos. This conversation was spurred on by Lemi's growing fascination with social media networking and platforms such as Facebook.
Whats resulted in discussion with Sustained Theatres Online Content Editor and Lemi was a process of development for a potential new connection point with Lagos and Manchester. An opportunity to discuss what could occur with the Sector in both Lagos and Manchester is to be achieved through online working on the Sustained Theatre website. To begin there is need of establishing the working parameters of focus and delivery that will be evolved through communication with Lemi and the North West Sustained Theatre Regional Hub.
We look to all members of the hub to inform the process of build and participate and evolve and approach of an online creative collaboration with Lemi over the next few months.

Plus heres a special Fela Kuti afrobeat special, a key part from a documentary made about the Fela and his work politically delivered through music.
