A day of conversations with ten Indian theatre practitioners, Sustained Theatre provided funding for UK Sector artists to attend the 'Theatre Sutra' event hosted as part of the British Council Edinburgh Showcase.

The creative networking day explored the Indian theatre scene, looking at practitioners' past experiences of collaboration and finding out about India's fast-growing new generation of theatre artists.

Key questions were posed during the day that included an Open Space session with Improbable around the question: How do we facilitate greater collaboration and creative dialogue between UK and Indian theatre makers?

What resulted from Sustained Theatre Sector artists who attended from the regions by the regional hubs can be read and published within a PDF on-line document (see right hand side for PDF download link).

Seven Sector artists respond and we find that the un-edited articles are a mixture of distinct personal viewpoints, personal history and experiences gained from working insights to India and the UK and new thoughts on developing creative network opportunities with India.
